slow lane

Tonight my friend George and I made a brief stop at Candy Cane Lane in El Segundo. The rain didn't make for ideal strolling conditions, but since it was my last night in LA before heading to Virginia, I wanted to make a quick stop. Candy Cane Lane is a block of houses that, as you can see, emblazon themselves with tons of lights and decorations. I read somewhere that it started by someone planting a tree at the end of the street one year as a way to bring the neighbors together, and over the years it has grown to become this. Hope you enjoy the view from your nice dry seat!

Very pretty.

Wonder what their electricity bill is like! Not to mention the impact on the environment....

Sorry. Very pretty though!
