...cross the city? A couple weeks ago while driving up Lincoln Blvd in Venice I almost snapped my neck as I spun to see if I really saw what I thought I just saw. Its true! California Chicken Cafe has arrived on the west side. CCC has a location in the valley and in Hollywood on Melrose near my old gym, though I often would forget about it. Probably because I didn't go as regularly as I could have, it always remained a treat. Its nothing fancy - imagine a Boston Market or a KooKooRoo where the food is actually really good, fairly cheap, and healthy. And consistently so. I'm thrilled to have someplace I can go for good food that is that healthy - you'll notice how there's a percentage of diners who look like they've just come from the gym. The wraps seem to be popular, but my traditional rut is a quarter chicken white, salad, and fruit. Go. Eat. Enjoy.
