hard labor

Since Labor Day for most of us is just a holiday to mark the end of summer, I figured I'd look back on the summer. Its been a good one, with a lot of fun moments both with family and friends. I am blessed to be so lucky.

In the interest of honoring the true Labor Day much like we try to honor the true Memorial Day, I should also point out that since 2001, the US has seen productivity soar, corporate profits rise, and modest gains in job creation. At the same time, real income for the average family is less than it was in 2000, poverty has risen, middle class wages have fallen, and the uninsured have skyrocketed: reverse trends in all from the 90s.
