lookout

My friend Tim and I rode our bikes up to Venice Beach today. (Have I mentioned how much I love living at the beach?!) True to form, Venice never fails to show things that you would never see anywhere else... My favorite of course were not humans doing different things just to be different and be noticed... but a sentry dog I spotted on top of a corner Terriyaki restaurant. Only in LA.

You didn't make him ride your "granny" bike did you?

oh, NOW you complain about the bike? See how you are... Yes as a matter of fact he did, and he had a hard time with it: "Someone short must have ridden this last!"....

great blog! Enjoying it, I'm a beach person on the other side of the U.S. One day I'm going to get out west.

fyi... My Aunt Susan mentioned that dogs on roofs are common in Mexico, where she travels often, and also that there is one not far from her home in Washington state - so, I guess that Sentry dog isn't just an 'only in LA' thing. Nonetheless, I still like believing that he's up there on his own accord just being another Venice Beach eccentric type! :)
